Saint Elizabeth's, Minsteracres
The parish of St. Elizabeth dates back to 1765 when the Silvertop family established the ‘Minsteracres Mission’ and a first priest was appointed with responsibility for the pastoral care of the family and the catholics in the surrounding area.
The foundation stone for the church was laid on 13 September 1852 and was dedicated to St Elizabeth of Hungary.
Since then it has developed into what it is now: a vital and vibrant faith community with active participation in the liturgy and other dimensions of parish life. The parishioners try to be a living sign of the Kingdom of God in this part of the world. There are a variety of groups for justice and peace, social, music and liturgy, and journey of faith.
